About Ms. Henry

Hello students, parents, and teachers! I am very excited to get to know you all throughout our time together this year. I studied English, Spanish, and Secondary Education at Western Michigan University, and have experience in high school, middle school, and higher education classrooms. I am very excited to share my knowledge with you, exchange ideas, and inspire our community (and maybe even the world!) through reading and writing! Keep browsing to learn more about me and my teaching philosophy!

Yes, I am a real person, too.
a few basic facts

I was born in Colorado in 1992 and moved to Michigan in 2000, when I was in fourth grade. A part of my heart is still somewhere in the Rockies, and someday I hope to make it back out west.

life is an adventure

I have an insatiable sense of adventure, and like to spend my free time traveling the planet and exploring the cultures I spend so much time reading about. Above is a picture of Beacon Rock, which I climbed in 2009!

family first

My family and I are very close-knit. I spend as much time with these weirdos as I can. I am who I am because of them and I wouldnt trade my memories with them for anything in the world.
